PDF Annotate System. Mark it up without ever leaving Cerbo.
Open a PDF right inside Cerbo, annotate it, save — and it reappears in the chart. No downloading, no third-party editor, no re-uploading. The whole round-trip becomes one click in and one click out.
Open in chart → annotate → save → back in the chart
—— Why We Built It
Five or six steps for what should be one.
Providers work with PDFs constantly — lab results, intake forms, referrals, consents. The old workflow was a slog: download the file, open it in a third-party editor, annotate, save, then upload it back. Five or six steps, every time, for something that should take a single click.
So we collapsed it. Our system opens the PDF inside Cerbo via a virtual machine. You annotate, you save, and it reappears in the chart — right where it belongs. One click in. One click out. The detour is simply gone.
—— What It Does
The PDF never leaves the chart.
Opens inside Cerbo
The PDF launches in place, right within the chart — no download, no separate app, no hunting through your folders for the file.
Annotate in place
Highlight, mark up, add notes — do everything you’d do in a desktop PDF editor, without ever leaving the patient’s record.
Save back to the chart
One save and the annotated PDF reappears in the chart, attached where it belongs — no re-uploading, nothing lost between steps.
Powered by a virtual machine
A full PDF editing environment runs behind the scenes via a virtual machine — real editing power, delivered right inside Cerbo.
Six steps become one
Download, open, edit, save, upload — gone. What used to break your focus five or six times now happens in a single, seamless motion.
Nothing leaves your system
Because the file never has to be downloaded to a personal device or shuttled through an outside tool, it stays right where it should.
The Workflow, Collapsed
From a five-step detour to one click each way.
Every annotated PDF used to mean leaving Cerbo and coming back. Now the file opens, gets marked up, and returns to the chart without you ever leaving the record.
Open it, mark it, done.
Cerbo is the best EHR in functional medicine. Always has been. Always will be.
